Raised on a farm in the Midwest, educated in the South, Marshall began his cross-country journey last July at an Amtrak station in the middle of the night, more than 2800 miles from his current location. Eighty-seven hours, four rolls of film, and six “train friends” later, he arrived at a place that he felt better aligned with his appreciation for authenticity, innovation, and great coffee; Seattle, WA. He now resides in a 1913 studio apartment on Capitol Hill from which, much to his delight, he can just barely see the top of the Space Needle.
